Pete Flynn

Director

Pete set up Candela Capital in 2003 to meet the distribution needs of small- to mid-sized private capital funds who want a personalised, long-term relationship with a distribution partner.

His 18 years’ of corporate “City” experience from Pantheon Ventures, InvestorForce, Fleming Asset Management and NM Rothschild & Sons in both London and New York gave him a unique insight into the needs of the institutional investor and the confidence to set up Candela Capital.Since 2003, Candela has focused on mandates varying between $400m-$150m in a combination of low to mid-market buy out funds, growth and VC technology funds in both ICT and life science and also real asset funds – distributed to European and North American pension funds, private banks, family offices, endowments, foundations, insurance companies or fund-of-funds.

Pete holds BA (Hons) and MA degrees in Economics from Cambridge University and an Investment Management Diploma from the London Business School. He was a Governor and Head of Audit for the Northern School of Contemporary Dance, was a local Parish Councillor for eight years and has been a governor of local schools and credit unions.

Pete is a UK and Irish citizen and outside of work runs a smallholding (with chickens, pigs, guinea and peafowl) and if any time is available found on a bicycle, attempting olympic lifting, at the cinema, attempting the sun salutation or watching rugby.
